Universal Supply is a highly diversified one step distributor of building products with 7 locations throughout Southern New Jersey. Headquartered halfway between Philadelphia and Atlantic City in Hammonton (Atlantic County), Universal Supply strategically serves New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Delaware.
Universal Supply offers a wide range of products from windows, doors, residential and commercial roofing to siding, framing, treated lumber and drywall.
Universal was the first company to go live on the RF Navigator WMS in the building material industry. Since 2001, they have implemented two additional sites. |

- Cost Savings: We have experienced a 31.8% payroll savings per year while sales rose 10%. We have also seen a 50% reduction in overtime costs.
- Inventory: We now see 99.66% inventory quantity by location accuracy (vs. dollar value accuracy). This is up 14 points in six months. We have also experienced a 50% increase in inventory turns, which cannot all be attributed to WMS, but it is a major factor. Our fill rate accuracy is at 99% now. This is an increase of 4%. We also have had a 80% reduction in time spent cycle counting the entire warehouse.
